Project 15149 – Custom Pivot Door – 2005

This new front door project was part of a major remodel.

A new 54″ wide full-lite pivoting front door is invisioned by our client
|
This particular door was designed and spec’d out by others.
|
Our job was to machine the door for the hardware, come up with a weather-stripping system & install everything.
|
We were however, asked to design & have the “center-hung” pivot-hinging-hardware fabricated. Made by B&R Machine.

Notice how approximately 1/3 of the door swings out when the balance is swung inward.

One of the biggest chanllenges on these doors where part swings out & part swings in, has always been designing the weaterstripping system.
