Meet the Owners of Anderson Door & Window Mechanics
Portland natives and Tigard High School sweethearts, Gordon and Pamela Anderson, founded this business in 1989. After serving as a C-130 Aircraft Mechanic in the Air Force until 1974, Gordon brought his technical skills back to Portland. For nearly a decade, he worked at the Bingham Willamette Company in NW Portland. During that time, he helped build complex Nuclear Reactor Coolant Pumps.
However, when that facility closed in 1983, Gordon shifted his focus toward the local building trades. He began specializing in the precision installation and weather-stripping of doors and windows. In fact, this technical niche required the same attention to detail he learned in the military. This hands-on experience eventually led to the formation of our company.

We built this business on a simple idea. Many windows and doors do not need to be thrown away. Instead, they just need an expert mechanic to fix them. Currently, we specialize in everything from minor hardware repairs to complete high-end replacements. We maintain full licensing and bonding for your protection (Oregon CCB #185768), This ensures every project meets the highest local standards for safety and quality.
For over 40 years, we have provided these services to residential and commercial customers throughout the Portland and Vancouver metro areas. Furthermore, our son Jared now manages many of the daily operations. As a result, we remain a proud family enterprise and look forward to serving our community for another 40 years.
